Why Telecardiology?

Telecardiology is a rapidly emerging branch of telemedicine which is mainly concerned with remote interpretation of cardiology investigations and patient data. Non-availability of certified cardiologists is not the only ground for existence of telecardiology. At times, patient may want to have a second opinion about his condition, about his test results, about the disease process, about the treatment being offered and about the outcomes. At times the treating cardiologist is not able to give so much of time and at times patient is not satisfied with his opinion. We provide online interpretation of your symptoms, your investigations and the treatment being offered. We will explain you the disease process, its outcomes and effect of various interventions. We can simply review your images and videos of the investigations and prepare second opinion reports also. All this can be done from your home just by uploading the pictures and videos of your test/ procedure/ investigations at our website. This data may be in usual JEPG, TIFF, AVI or MP3/4 formats or may be in medically more common DICOM format (as supplied by your diagnostic center). We will safely and securely download it, review it and will mail your reports to you with relevant interpretation. All this will come at cost much lesser than your original investigation.

What to expect in telecardiology?

• Reporting and interpretation of various cardiac investigations including electrocardiogram (ECG), Echocardiogram (ECHO or Cardiac ultrasound), Pediatric echocardiogram, TMT reporting, Holter monitor reporting (24 hours ambulatory ECG monitoring), Carotid Doppler & Ultrasound and Coronary angiogram. We can provide these services to individuals as well as to hospitals/ health centers requiring bulk reporting. Relevant interpretation will also be provided, if clinical input is given with investigation modality. Turn-around-time of as low as one hour can be provided depending upon the project. International standards as established by American College of Cardiology (ACC), European society of cardiology (ESC) and American society for Echocardiography (ESC) will be followed for reporting. These projects included pre-reads and final readings of ECGs, ECHOs, Holter, Coronary Angiograms and TMT.
